where does the recirculated air come out?

Hi.
I have fitted one of these curved glass cooker hoods and fitted filter as it is in recirculation mode.

had i been using the vent pipe (supplied) i would have to remove the plastic lid/seal that is directly over the fan motor.

do i take this off in recirculation mode also? I cant see how the air recirculates if both sides of the motor are filtered and on suck?

um.... i cant see a name. there isn't a name on the label inside and the label on the back is screwed against the wall.

in the pictures in the advert there is a diagram (picture number 5).

look at figure 1 part A

there is a circle on top of the square boxy bit.

this had a bung/stopper/plastic thingy closing it when it was delivered.

the instruction dont actually mention it at all. but they do say to conect the duct to here. so it stands to reason it would be removed for duct usage.

but i left it in because its on recirclulate.

now i think maybe it was there just as part of the packaging maybe?

see the round thing in the picture? that's the charcoal filter that is supposed to go on the top in place of the ducting..

the two filters are inside. either side of the motor. this was explained in the destruction's.
they have a bayonet type fitting.

if i remove the cap, the air is drawn through the two filters and comes out through the hole at the top in the diagram.

would this be the way it should be?

I have asked the seller but he doesn't have a clue what in on about and has asked me to send a photo of the hole.

Yes that is the way.

The air comes out of the hole and into the cavity of the "chimney" of the hood. There should be slots in the side of the chimney for the air to get out of the chimney and back into the room.

The round "filter" is usually more of a sound reducing item than a filter for material as these will normally be collected by the filter before the fan.

It comes out the same place whether its on recirc or not!
