Where to cut pipes?

These are the flow and return pipes that come down from upstairs and currently supply 3 radiators.

I'm looking to reposition rads and will need to feed off of these.

Where is the best place to cut them and tee off or doesn't it matter? I ask because l wasn't sure if the blanked off 22mm section would make a difference.

Thanks

No idea where you're planning on putting your radiators. Which rads are you repositioning?

What is the capped 22mm pipe?

I'm not sure actually but it's tied into the return pipe.

Currently the pipework runs under a concrete floor to a rad opposite and off to another rad.

I want to run pipework along the wall to the the left of the existing pipes to a new rad, but also want another couple of rads tied in as well.

Is this disused pipework from before a combi conversion, or something?

So how many rads will be fed via this 15mm pipe?

*Insulate the pipes!*

Yes l will insulate the pipes.

Currently downstairs it feeds 4 rads, but l will be needing to feed 7 due to a kitchen conversion into the conservatory.

Should my main runs be 22mm and tee of 15mm to each rad?

The trouble l have is 2 rads definitely have to have pipework run in the concrete floor, but how do you neatly come up from the concrete if joints can't be buried? Hope you understand what l mean.

No, it's not disused pipework, pipes go under the concrete floor to two radiators.

The 22mm pipe coming down from above is the return and the 15mm is the flow. There is a 3rd pipe in 15mm too which is tied into the 22mm pipe, then15mm again to the radiator.

Does this look normal and can the pipes be cut and re-routed to a new radiator? The old pipework can be left in the floor l guess?
