my uPVC front door is currently fixed to some old wooden blocks (seems to be bits of the old front door frame) that are floating about in the cavity. the cavity is not closed at openings, this is how the house was constructed. i am sairly confident the windows are the same too.
question being where can / should i securly fix the door to? would it be better to the outer leaf? i am planing to close the cavity by running come DPC against the outer leaf and returning the inner leaf onto it with breeze blocks tied in. does this sound about right?
