hi

the toilet in my house takes ages to fill. after a quick google i'm led to believe a good first attempt at a fix is to replace the inlet valve? can you advise where it is in this type of fitment, is it under the blue cap on the left? i notice when i press down on the white arm coming from there that the water comes out a bit faster. does this indicate faulty inlet valve?

also, if it 'is' under the blue cap, is this likely to screw or prise off? don't want to break it!

That whole blue thing on the left is the inlet valve, your possibly looking at toilet out to check/replace.

cheers, i've been having a closer look and reckon the whole section will come out without removing toilet. space is tight but i reckon it's do-able. i'm just going to replace the whole section for all they cost as oppose to mucking about trying to get the rubber valve thingy out.
