Where's the reply box gone?

When I log in on my iPad, all is well, but if I log in on my lap top, there's no box to reply in......a sort of logged in but not logged in scenario if you can follow that one.
Any help please? This started yesterday evening.

Do you have any extensions or programs running on your laptop that block things? Javascript is required for the reply box to work for example.

All double dutch to me, these things but I've cleared some browsing history and all seems to be hunky dory again!! No idea what or why though.

have you actually tried logging in again? Sometimes when I do updates on my laptop, I am logged out.

I tried that but to no avail.....unsurprisingly as all of this is a black art to me

I possibly have the same problem on just one laptop.

On this forum it will not display my forum picture and only a very few of others.

But the main problem is that the reply box is also missing so I cannot reply to messages posted.

Its a seriously slow laptop but running Windows 10.

I find this Windows 10 virtually impossible to do maintenance tasks on compared with XP.

Any ideas?
