Which Boiler ???

Hi,
We are about to replace our boiler. Can you offer your opinions on a good sound boiler to go for, we have a 2 bedroom semi-detached, 2 bedroom property with x5 radiators.

The Vaillant range seem a good bet ?? But which model is best suited for me ?

80,000Btu/hr (24kW) would be far too big for a conventional boiler for that size of house.
If you want a combi, most would recommend 30kw + for better hot water flow.

For a standard system boiler or open vent boiler, I doubt you would need more than the Ecotec Plus 615 or 415.

The 612 will probably easily cope with your needs.

Add the total length of all the radiators together. Assume 1 kW per metre for singles, 2 kW for doubles. Round it off upwards to the nearest available model, that is all you need if you have a cylinder.
About 30 kW if you decide to have a combi.
