Hi everyone,

Im looking to get a budget kitchen for my new house, so far Ive looked at Wickes Smart Kitchen Range and also Homebase Essentials.

They seem pretty much the same in terms of price so I wondered if they differed in quality?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives?

I'm buying the units from the company at the minute and then sourcing worktop and appliances elsewhere to keep the cost down.

Is this the best way to do it?

Ikea units are well priced.
Yes, but they lack any void space at the rear for plumbing, don't they? At least the last couple I fitted did - complet PIA to plumb-in afterwards - also they are non-standard sizes so you can end up stuck with IKEA built-ins, doors, etc (not so good when stuff has to be replaced down the line)

Lots of ebay suppliers cheaper and better quality than Wickes [though that's not hard to achieve].

any links?

I was keen to go with a high street name as they have designed it for me and I know I won't miss anything out! I can see me messing it up trying to source all the bits online!

Does anyone have any experience of the two I mentioned Wickes Smart Kitchen Range and Homebase Essentials?
