When I needed a new one for the boat I brought it direct from Kidde online for aroud £15.
Have a look in Aldi, Lidl. B & M etc- they sometimes have them, think I paid £20 for a pair a few years ago.

Only dealt with a handful, but I prefer Aico/Ei ones, and you can extract information from the latest ones. We as a social housing landlord have these fitted to approx 97% of our properties, the ones that aren’t were from house builders.
