Which connection for the non TRV side of a radiator?

I need a connection for the non-trv side of a radiator but the exit is straight down not out to the side.

Will this work http://www.screwfix.com/p/chrome-c-x-mi-male-coupler-15-x/67110

I'm not sure if it's the right size to screw into the radiator.

I will have to pick up the bits - TRV and valve from screwfix tomorrow.

The valves come with a tail for the rads.

The other end of the rad from the TRV should have a lockshield valve. This is used for balancing the flow.

I've just realised what he's talking about.....I think. You need a straight through valve, as opposed to an angled one.
