Which electric flame effect fire does not hum?

Bought a Dimplex Exbury - lovely fire but hummed loudly on flame effect only. The service engineer said it was a normal sound level for the fan circulating the air.
The retailer (Derby Gastech - whom I highly recommend for exceptional customer service) is refunding my money and waiting patiently while I choose another fire. So...... which electric inset fire does not hum and does not circulate cold air when it is on flame effect? All ideas gratefully received.

What about an LCD flame effect fire? The fan only runs on these when the heating element is on.
