Which is noisier - Polycarbonate roof or corrugated plastic?

Hi,

I currently want to re-roof my leanto and wanted to be as considerate as possible to the neighbours - so - which would be noisier, a polycarbonate roof or corrugated plastic?

If polycarbonate is quieter - is there a difference in noise levels between the sizes?

I'm guessing you're talking about the noise from rainfall? If so I would say that polycarb will be quieter as it is more rigid and less likely to reverberate. Much will depend on how well it is supported though. Neither will ever be perfect.

What is on there at the moment and how noisy is that?

Its old old corrugated sheets. And loud, it really can't go any louder!
