I used chipboard.
Glued edges.
Chipboard is a bit cheaper than OSB
OSB is a bit stronger
It's a good question.
Chipboard is way more popular and don't cause any problem.

I should say what is the better of the two? having 10m2 loft boarded(raised) and shelves, the tradeperson prefers P5 to work with, the smoother finish, bigger sheets to get through the loft hatch. I thought OSB will be stronger, hes the professional not me.

P5 is strong enough, OSB may be stronger but why is the extra strength needed? Your professional tradeperson prefers P5, be guided by them, that is one of the reasons for using experienced professionals.
