Which paint to use for interior wooden windows?

Hi all

With our door trims coming along nicely, I'll soon be moving on to painting the inside of our wooden window frames and sills.

For the door trims I have been using :

- Zinsser BIN for knots
- Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 for the primer/undercoat
- Satura BL for the topcoat

Can I use the same combo for the windows or would I be better of using something more heavy duty (and possibly OB - although I'd like to stick to WB if possible).

We don't have much of a problem with condensation. Just the odd bit now and then. But the windows do leak on rare occasions (when the rain is driven into the house by a North wind). Would this be a problem with WB paints? Should I go something more heavy duty?

Don't paint them, or oil them, much easier.

Definitely much easier! But unfortunately not to our taste....

Aslong as you aint using dulux you should be fine!

Got to disagree handyman

ICI and it's partners make a huge commitment to paint manufacture and it don't do them no good to make a crap product, sure they had a big blip in not telling all about the yellowing paint, but they were correcting it. I will still buy their new blue lid stuff, along with other makes, depends on the job.
It's oil based paint is still good for indoor windows and doors and at a fair price.

Bought a cheapo 15 litre emulsion for a rubbish job just to try it out and after 2 coats its still not covered, going back in the morning to complain and swop it back for the trade dulux

A job i finished last jan with dulux satinwood looks very yellow 15 months later. The clients dont smoke, the walls where painted in macphersons eclipse and still look brilliant white.
I have bought macphersons satin finish for a job i am starting today!
FYI wasnt taking about emulsion!
