I purchased the 3 products below from Johnstones Trade Centre. I told them that I wanted a Matt White finish to my cupboard doors for the eaves in my attic. This was their advise:
1 x coat of Johnstones MDF primer
2 x coat of Johnstones Acrylic Primer Undercoat
1 x Final Coat (in my case this is 'Flat Oil Paint' in Brilliant White, probably similar to gloss but without the awful shine).
Would I be right in thinking that the Acrylic Primer Undercoat is a little excessive and just proceed with 2 x MDF Primer and then do just 1 final coat?
I've never painted MDF before but wasn't sure if the sales person just wanted to sell me extra tins of paint.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
