I want to attach a length of 4x2 along an inside brick wall which has been dot and dabbed plasterboarded too. Which length and size fixing would be best to use. The 4x2 will be having joists attached to it for a small ceiling. Thanks

Have a lock at Corefix

They have a metal collar that distributes the load from the blockwork through the plasterboard. Not cheap though.

I have only used them on one job. I had to put up shelving racks on a dot an dab wall. Regardless of the cost, I was happy with their performance in thermolite blocks with 9.5mm plasterboard.

Sorry for the constant questions, but would you use the crosshead or the hex bolt heads?
Depends what you are intending for the 2x4 ? , bolts heads will protrude , countersunk heads will go in flush .
