Hi Guys,

We need to replace all our internal doors, we want 5 pattern 10 plain glazed and 10 plainish solid doors.
Easy question, does it matter what type we get if swmbo just wants them painted white.
There are some ones in Hemlock and some in engineered oak that look ok. So does it really matter, do either hang better or warp less?

Thanks all

If you're painting them white, and if hanging yourself, the oak will cost noticeably more, be lost when you paint it, be heavier to hang (you may need 3 hinges, top two nearer to each other than bottom one)~, and cutting out for locks, handles will be harder. Most mainstream doors these days are unlikely to warp unless you go super-cheap. Some companies do new 'period' doors- not cheap but make the house feel right.
