Whining Boiler

My boiler has just started making a high pitch whining, squeeching noise!

The boiler is a Glowworm Fanned Flue model, so I was wondering if the noise is coming from the fan bearings?

It certainly doesn't sound like any noise I've heard before from a boiler!
 
Anyone got any ideas on this one - the noise if scaring my wife (and our dog doesn't like it either!).
