Whirlpool AWM 822 - Door Stays Locked after Wash

Hi All,

Could really do with some pointers on a problem I'm having with a Whirlpool AWM822.

Loaded up the machine and turned it on. It ran through the program fine, but at the end couldn't open the door. I ran the program again and tried a second time, but again, couldn't open the door. I have also tried running just a rinse and spin cycle but to no avail.

This is my first time using the machine as I have just moved into a new rental house.

Appreciate if anybody has experienced this type of problem before, and any idea about what I could do to fix it.

Door interlock mechanism faulty new door lock required. You probably will have to smash the old lock off before replacing new one as the securing screws for the lock is on the inside of the door
