i'm having problems with my dryer. it's not drying propperly on the ready to wear setting (longest setting) but seems ok on other settings could this be a program fault or the start of a heating element problem??
To be honest it could be any number of things.
Its just a case of starting at one end. Check the heat exchanger is clean & look at the front left-hand side of the exchanger cavity for a grey rubber grommet with a hole in it. This is a drain that leads to the pump housing, they can easily get blocked & cause problems so make sure it isn't full of lint etc. If you can borrow/get hold of a cheap plug in power-meter use that to check how many watts/amps the element is actually drawing when running (you'd probably be able to get one for 5 to 10 pounds on ebay, from Mapling, RS etc). They are handy things to have around.
