Hi I have gotta fit 3 various bath appliances with pumps etc. The appliances are fitted with a rcd on a cable runing to a normal plug. Do I place the plug under the bath on the wall? and do I have to use a special waterproof plug or not?

The reason I ask the house is new and been wired 1st fix the electrician is on holiday and I need to get these fitted and cables sorted as plasters want to finish of next week.

The electrician did tell me before he went that this is OK but can remember where he said to place the socket or if a special one needed.

Cheers

Tony

No but in order for you to use a plug in a bathroom it has to be seen as not a special location. That means if it's going under the bath then the panel has to be screwed on.

Don't forget, supplementary bonding still applies.

Also I trust you haven't got three appliances going into one single socket?

No in three diffrent rooms! DOes supplementry boding need to be done even with plastic pipes?
Yes
You still need to supplementary bond the circuit protective conductors of all the class 1 or class 2 circuits in the zones.
