Hi,

Just moved in to a house which has got a Whirlpool ADG7560/1 (8511 757 15811) integrated dishwasher which isn't working.

The diagnostic routine is showing 5 flashes (blocked arm?) but there's nothing in the arms inside the machine so presumably it's further back, do they have a common place where they get blocked?

Is there a guide or engineers manual anywhere for stripping this model?

F5 (5 flashes) usually does boil down to blocked a spray arm(s).
Does the machine pump out & fill water...but refuses to wash? Does the wash motor hum but not rotate? If so it could be because of a jammed impellor, bad motor capacitor, or a defective motor. Some of these models are fitted with variable speed motors. If yours is one of them then the problem could be a wiring fault/bad connection between pcb & motor, a busted frequency converter, or defective pcb. I am afraid you won't get a service manual, they are trade only.

It's draining, filled it from a kettle and thats pumping out ok. It also feels as though it's trying to take water on board. Can the door be bypassed so it can be run with it open - might see a bit more then. As it's still fitted at the moment it's all a bit vague on what it's doing!

Yes the door switch can be bypassed...but I would strongly advise against it unless you want to risk flooding your kitchen or shorting something out (including yourself). Water & voltage don't mix well. You can safely observe everything you need to observe by removing the side panels. At the end of the day you're probably still looking at a defective wash motor.

Well a strip down revealed a plastic medicine spoon jamming the motor. Removed, refitted and all working smoothly :)
