Whirlpool dishwasher

Hi
I have a whirlpool dishwasher that won't work! when it is
switched on the green light flashes 4 times then pauses and starts again.
The model No. is ADP 4501/5.
can any one help?

Try the search facility at the top,4 flashes is most likely no drain.

I poured hot water down the drain seems to be working now!
