Hi all,

my whirlpool 2000+ needs a fuse replacement.

I turned on the light switch on the hood and there was a pop and the bulb blew.

This has stopped the oven from working and the digital time display is not showing anything. I suspect the fuse has blown.

The oven was there when I bought the house so don't have a user manual for it.

Is it an easy job to replace the fuse? Can an amateur replace the fuse?

Does anybody know where I can get instructions to replace the fuse?

Thanks.

Is the hood separate / above the oven ?
Have you checked the main fuse board / consumer unit for tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse ?

Attached is an image of the oven switch on wall.

The socket on the wall it isn't working either. I plugged in a lamp and it didn't work.

Yes the hood is separate.

Where would I find the main fuse board / consumer unit? Would it be near the oven?

This is an image of the oven.

The hood is separate from the oven.

Usually close to your electricity meter ,its your main fuse board / CU for the property.

That was the problem!

Thank you so much.

It's working again but the digital display which usually has the time now says 'Stop'.

Hmmmmm

The 'Stop' has gone away and time is now showing after pressing the middle button on oven and setting the time.
