Looks like just general weathering to me. Why do you want to remove them?

Good call - looks like I've just learned something.

OP,
You seem to have a lot of moss on the roof esp at the near gable. Your gutter is getting full with moss, & the lower roof flashing at the gable is showing a significant build-up of moss debris?
Perhaps clear all the moss esp at the lead flashing & gutter where the moss might cause leaks.
A good, painstaking method of removing moss from concrete tiles is to lift and clean each tile, one by one. But is it worth it?
Or a long handled stiff broom might shift the majority.

Lichen, if it's all white then it's probably all dead and can be jet washed off [working down only] , Jeyes fluid will kill anything that's still living.

Thanks all.

We're planning to sell the house in the next 6 months, so just wanted to remove the marks before the house sale. I wasn't sure if it was something that would put potential buyers off.

Vinn - yes, I do need to remove as much of the moss as I can. It seems to build up fairly quickly.

Foxhole, ok great - will try jet washing and see what comes off.

Use Jeye's Fluid by all means it will kill the moss. Your house will smell like a urinal for the next six months at least. Mine smelt for a whole year when I used Jeye's to kill the moss on my drive.

Use a fungicidal wash.
Never a good idea to use a pressure washer on your roof tiles.

Thanks Pete, I'll swerve the Jeyes fluid then!

Ok alastair, I did wonder about that. I'll try the fungicidal wash.

I presume the lichen will just keep coming back...with regards to flogging a dead horse. I wouldn't be bothered about it if we were staying here but didn't want anyone to be put off by it when we sell.

Thanks

Put on a new roof, nice and clean tiles with more work given to your local roofer.

Don't worry about the expense..............................as you can't take it with you.

Andy

I would have thought any survey done on that property will come back with needing a new roof in the near future.
