Why are Israelis furious?

They have little sympathy for those who celebrated, laughed, cheered at young men, women and children that where raped & brutally murdered or those who where kidnapped
The Israelis have been doing the same thing to Palestinians and others for decades.

Ah, but some are claiming the Ukrainian rent boys were obtaining information from high levels of Govt and passing said info to Andriy Portnov, a Ukrainian dissident in Madrid who was assassinated 4 days after the arrest of the rent boys and around the same time the boy's Grindr accounts were deleted.

There's nothing so stupid, or so nonsensical, that somebody won't "claim" it, because there are people in the world who believe that they can make up anything stupid or nonsensical and just "claim" it, because truth has zero value to them.

For example, would you believe, I've even seen people claim that anybody who criticises Israel for slaughtering tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians is a Jew-hater who wants to see all Jews killed and Israel destroyed.

Would you believe I've seen people, people on here who would deny a sovereign state, a sovereign state that has been forced to fight on a daily basis in order to survive, their right to defend themselves against those who have sworn to destroy them.

Meanwhile...

...the ceasefire's going awfully well.

Since the declaration of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on October 10, 2025, Israel has violated the the agreement at least 875 times up to December 22 agreement with near-daily attacks, killing hundreds of people. The office said Israel shot at civilians 265 times, raided residential areas beyond the “yellow line” 49 times, bombed and shelled Gaza 421 times, and demolished people’s properties on 150 occasions. It added that Israel had also detained 43 Palestinians from Gaza over the past month. Israel has also continued to block vital humanitarian aid and destroy homes and infrastructure across the Strip.

Al Jazeera has tracked the ceasefire violations to date.

Strange, they haven't mentioned that so far, Hamas are still refusing to disarm, which is also one of the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

Have a look at the Zion thread.
Well, that'll be a no, you can't prove it then. *

There are two threads with "Zion" in the title.

I didn't know which one you meant, but I looked at both.

The first - short enough for me to read it all. No examples of people who would deny a sovereign state, a sovereign state that has been forced to fight on a daily basis in order to survive, their right to defend themselves against those who have sworn to destroy them.

The second has 111 posts, and I'm not going to plough through all those to find something you say you know is there, when all you have to do is point me at it.

I did search the thread for "right", "defend" and "defence", but found nothing relevant.

* You, of course, could simply quote, or link to, the post(s) where people deny a sovereign state their right to defend themselves against those who have sworn to destroy them.

You've thought of an answer to Morq's question by now, perhaps, "what did happen to the Zion thread"?

Has one of them been heavily redacted?

He's not been here since Christmas Eve, but when he returns after the break, he'll be welcome to prove that he really has

not that he's seen people saying that of course Israel has the right to defend itself but that right does not extend to stealing land and homes in the West Bank, slaughtering innocent civilians in the tens of thousands, and reducing Gaza to complete rubble.

My prediction is that he won't prove it, but will claim it really, really, was there in posts now oh-so-conveniently-for-him deleted.

And so it will continue. fillyboy will remain a cog in the machine which grinds relentlessly on, claiming that Israel can never be, or do, wrong, and this wretched conflict will erupt again, and again, and again, generation after generation.

Israel have, as far as I can see, 3 options.
  1. Accept that Palestinians have the right to self-determination and a viable state, give back all that they have plundered, and help pay for the damage they have wrought.
  2. Succeed in exterminating every last Palestinian.
  3. Put up with perpetual conflict.
But given hostile states in the region, I'm not sure (2) would work.

The problem is that in order to gain power, an israeli leader invariably has to rely on the support of the ultra right wing...

That involves denying the Palestinians the state which is rightfully theirs...

And along the way war crimes are committed to maintain that power...

So number 3 is and has always been the goal of israeli leaders...

Not so I believe for the general population of israel, so hopefully a way will be found to overcome the enemy within...

But then how do you get to grips with the domestic extremists ;)
