why do upstairs radiators not as warm

in the one corner, i know hot air rises i can solve the problem shortly by bleeding them, effects almost all of them upstairs (none down stairs)

had various plumbers out and all cant find anything wrong.. made minor adjustments NO LEAKS, but doesnt change anything....

rooms / house still get hot, just anoying, say the last 5 inches of the corner of the radiator, doesnt seem to get any worse.

dont get me wrong there not cold in the corner of the radiators just not as warm as the rest of it, (system 13 year old)

your system is, either sucking air in or creating gas.
what type of system/boiler do you have?

combination boiler

open vent system, tank in the roof (that one plumber highered the vent pipe) which only helped one down stairs (as the was causing problems with one small rad) this now has been perfect for 3 months.

but upstairs no improvement

new boiler was fitted when we moved in 2 years ago. and as done it since we moved in..

any more info need ?

and checked the pump wasnt sucking around joints etc..

You need a chemical power flush, and dont forget to connect the F&E pipes and wash out the tank.

plumber doesnt think its sludged up though!!!

Check if you can light the 'air' that you are bleeding from the radiators.

Aha! Now its microbore!?

You can flush it still, but its not as effective and would probably make no difference and if you have dual valves, i wouldnt even consider it.

Might be best to take the rads off and remove the plugs at each corner, and wash through, unless they are single panel roll tops where you dont have plugs....
