I appreciate all help as always.

After we had our combi boiler fitted last winter, I noticed that the hot water from the bathroom sink was a soapy white. My wife told me that her friend, who is a plumber says, "It's to do with the pressure and when the tap is turned on higher, it should resume to a normal colour" Which is true and I sort off switched off to it. Now that i'm more interested in plumbing, Even considererd getting into the trade somehow. I'm concerned as to why this is still happening after approx 12 months later.

(more detail below)

This only seems to happen on the bathroom sink.
When the hot tap is only turned a quarter way, this seems to be when the colour is at it's most concentrated level. When the hot tap is fully turned, it eventually clears to a naturall water colour.

What's going on Pro's - does the system need flushing ?
Is the pressure too low on the combi, and if so why the funny colour ?

Thanks........................

Just disolved air in the water being released from the water when it gets to the outlet or air ingress into the tap. Some taps are supposed to do this it is for anti splash. Nothing to worry about.

The "white" appearance is probably caused by minute bubbles of air in the water. This air was previously dissolved in the water when it was under high pressure in the pipes, but when the water emerges from the tap its pressure falls to zero and some of the dissolved air comes out of solution. If you collect some of this "white" water in a glass you will see that it will clear after a matter of seconds as the air bubbles find their way to the surface.

If it clears from bottm to top it is air bubbles, if it clears from top to bottom it is sediment (solid) of some sort.
