Wierd TV problem! :(

Hi All

Hoping someone clever can assist

We have an LCD tv, worked fine until today. We noticed there was no power on the TV, no standby light etc.

I tested it in another socket and it worked, and I tested it in another socket and it worked sometimes, then to the 2nd socket and it works everytime.

I tried another TV into all sockets and it works everytime.

Just seems odd how one socket it works everytime, others sometimes then one nothing at all. Is it due to the amount of power required at the socket and if I put a tester accross the socket I may notice its less than others?

I wondered that, but its odd how on certain sockets it works every time etc

Rather than wasting a whole load of time typing out possible causes I'll just cut to the chase.... Cut of the moulded plug, fit a new one. Whip off the wall sockets. Check the wiring. Replace the wall sockets if the issue continues.
