I've left my house for a couple of days, and turned off the mains because of a small leak, and want to know if I should get someone to go to my house to turn the boiler off fully, as I forgot to turn the boiler off, so it is due to heat up water this evening for an hour and again tomorrow morning.

It's an oil fired boiler with a cylinder and feeder tank in the loft.

What / where exactly is the leak from ? It's unlikely that you need to turn the boiler off.

The leak is on the stopcock itself. Keep meaning to fix it but it's pretty minor, I'd just prefer to turn it off when I'm away as it stops dripping when it's off.

A minor leaking stopcock won't affect your boiler if it's closed or open.
