wilo gold pump

I am a new poster but previous reader. Very useful site. Thanks to all!

Just a quick query to see if anyone knows if there is a difference between the wilo gold RS50 and the gold 50. B&Q seem to stock the 50 but online the RS50 looks like the mainplayer. Any relevance in the RS??

Hi, I don't know what the relevance of RS is, but I have just replaced my Wilo Gold 50 pump with the Wilo Gold RS50 and funnily enough it was from B&Q.

I went ahead and bought from B&Q, and they gave me the RS also.
I guess the non-RS was an older model, and they just haven't updated their website and in-store display??
Now i just have to try loosen those darn 50mm nuts!!!

if they're stuck you might just be able to hacksaw the unions off and fit new ones (majority of valves have the same ones). there are other methods but i normally find that's quickest and involves the least amount of physical effort rather than straining to undo things.

gate valves pretty much all have the same fitment of union.
