This sort of NIMBY like idiocy is being encountered in a multitude of places where there are moves to place wind turbines. Why don't governments understand, we should be building coal power plants near the houses of poor people, not disrupting the view in our rural life style!
The "birds caught in the propellers" argument is possibly one of the more stupid to be used by NIMBYites in opposing wind turbines,
Bolo .dont know where u live but we live of the cumbria coast and they are extenting the wind farm as i write. there is over 100 turbines to look at.and in dont look Holland,
more like the pumps in Dallas WE ALSO HAVE THE BIG SELLAFILED 20 min drive away or 15 as the wind blows
. u go 30 min drive to see turbine , we look out our window
but as long as we keep green , wots 300 turbine to look at blocking up the irish sea. they got to go somewere, but not on who's doorstep
