Hi I'm looking for some help from any window fitters out there. We have recently had all our windows replaced. In our hallway we wanted a fixed pane window. We asked for it single pane and were clear that we wanted it as bog as possible to let as much light in as possible.
The company have now fitted it and there is a strip across the top of the window which I'm sure has been put in as they have miss measured them. The owner of the company has said that it is an "add on" as without it the trickle vents would be too close to the plaster and they couldn't not have a trickle vent as it is a non opening window.
I have attached a photo of the window with the strip above (everything is white so it's not a great photo). I have also attached two photos of other windows he has done where the trickle vent is right next to the plaster. Do people think he has mis measured or is he telling the truth.
