Hi all

Installed a shower cublicle in a bathroom which has a small window (2ftx2ft) inside of the area.

Now I know water will slowly sit on the ledge and seep down the wall as it does.

Im sure people have come across this issue before and wondered what people had done to overcome this. I was thinking of a small pvc type blind, but could not find any.

Thanks,
B21

I removed my wooden ledge then filled the window opening with 6"x6" glass blocks so it was level wih the inside wall, was very lucky as 12 of these blocks filled the area in perfectly then i tiled up to them & it is now all sealed, i did this cos i didnt want to brick the window up inside the shower cubicle as it would of made the bathroom too dark as the other window is not a big size. its been like this for about 2 years now & there is no issue regarding condesation etc in the space between the window frame itself & the glass blocks.

do you have any pictures?

the bathroom has already been tiled.

I will see if glass blocks will fit in exactly. if they dont, make i make the gap up with something?

Or put a metal curtain pole and fit a shower curtain on it. (cut to the correct size) So when you have have a shower - draw the curtain. - window stays dry.
