I'm renovating a flat, and have taken out a bedroom door, and also the small square of plasterboard wall that was above it.

I am looking to build a window above the door, to allow light from the bedroom into the hallway, which I find common in many properties.

Can anyone suggest the best way to do this? Is it a case of buying the glass and building it completely with wood, as I cannot find any such windows for sale.

To ensure sound does not travel through the proposed window, would double glazing be possible?

Many thanks for your ideas.
