Winter herbs / veg / fruit growing for a novice

Hi.

I've just purchased one of these makeshift greenhouses: http://tinyurl.com/68jvzmj as I don't have a garden, just a small yard area.

I'm a complete novice at gardening so I'm after some advice on what would be best to buy/plant now? Ideally I would like to grow herbs, fruit and veg, but I'm not sure what will survive in these colder/darker months.
