Been looking around for the glass sheet with wire embedded, but seems it might not be available. Is that the case?

Commonly known as Georgian wired glass.

it’s used for fire rated applications

GWPP for Georgian wire polished plate(clear)

GWRC for Georgian wire rough cast(obscure)

Think fire rated wired glass has a thicker wire than normal GWPP

To be used in fire doors these days GWPP has to be specifically GWPP fire rated, not all GWPP is. The regs in this changed a few years ago. It is still handy for security even in non-fire rated version. A lot of the time these days we fit clear or frosted "pyro" (Pyroguard)

Thanks for all the replies, it's to give my shed windows extra security. Although I could use polycarb, but that marks up easy.

Georgian glass is far better than any plastic. Consider using traditional putty as well, once it has set fully it can be a PIA to chop out
