Wireless smoke alarm testing

On my intruder alarm system I have some smoke detectors set up as a fire zone which assume means they are monitored 24 7 and will alert me if activated.

However if I were to test them using a paperclip will it just test the smoke detector sounder or will it also signal back to the panel and activate the bell box?

They are honey well df8m detectors
