Hi.
Can anyone help.
I am trying to replace my bathroom light.
I have two cables coming from ceiling.
One has one earth, one red and one black.
The other one has one earth and two red.
How do i connect these to a fitting that has only one connector for each of the red, black and earth wires.
Please help me!!!!!!!!

You did make a note of how the old fitting was connected, didn't you?.......

Usually, the red wire of the red/black cable would be connected to one of the red wires of the red/red cable in a seperate 5 amp choc bloc connector. This connector is not usually supplied with the light fitting.

The other red wire of the red/red cable connects to the live of the light.

The black wire to the neutral of the light.

Both earth wires to the earth terminal of the light.
