I believe I have a s-plan heating system.

I have looked in the airing cupboard and found 2 valves. One says for hot water

The other says Zone valve but I dont think it is a Y-plan as there are only 2 settings.

Is it as easy as:

I will need to split my one live going into 1 into 2 wires that go into 2 and 5 on the nest

Does that all seem correct?

My only question is what do I do with my wall mounted old thermostat?

where does the wire in terminal 1 on the existing programmer go ?

Hi Ian,

There is a blank faceplate next to the programmer. it goes into there and into a wire jungle. I could trace it once Ive switched the power off

cant understand what it could be used for , that terminal is used for a 3 port mid position valve and not used in an S plan as you have unles at one time there was a motor open motor close 2 port valve at some stage , the ones you have just now are spring return and wouldnt need this wire
