Wiring a ecoTEC plus combination boiler 24

Hi everyone, I have fitted the above boiler for an elderly relative.
I am getting a GSR engineer to do the flue and all the gas pipe work and final testing.
It has an integral timer and standard room thermostat, I just wanted some guidance on the wiring.. I remove the low voltage link and wire the common of the room stat to perm live and then the calling from the room stat to RT.
Is this correct ?
