Wiring a Neff Induction Hobb T42D20

Hi there

I am thinking of replacing my current fan oven and seperate hob with a new fan oven and a Neff Induction hob. I am just wondering if they can be connected to my existing wiring and switch which is 32 amp?. Am I correct in assuming that both the hob and oven are wired into the same supply??

Thank you

If you think about it you have asked the equivalent of.
"I have a road, how fast will my car go on it."

Need some more information.

What is the rating of the oven
What is the rating of the hob
The supplier should be able to tell you that.

Also, is there an isolation switch for the existing oven/hob??.
Do they both connect to the same supply or does one plug in to a socket somewhere else?

Also, have a look at the SIMILAR TOPICS panel below
and the SEARCH facility.

This question is asked at least once a day so you should be able to get some clues from recent history.

Hi
Sorry for the delay

The new oven would have a total connected load of 7200 watts
The new hob would have a total connected load of 3680 watts
There is an existing isolation switch for the existing oven/hob
Existing Isolation switch controls both oven & hob
Switch is connected to a 30amp fuse at the consumer unit

Thank you

Sorry, - TYPING ERROR
That should be oven - 3680 watts
Hob - 7200 watts

The total max load of the two combined is about 47amps.

The hob alone can pull 31amps at full whack.

It is possible to run both from the existing circuit and that assumes not all the rings and the oven will be on 100%. The calculation uses something called diversity.

There's info on this in this thread //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1453393#1453393

If you are looking for 100% guarantee and/or you expect heavy use then you'll need a new, separate feed to be run in for the oven.
