Wiring a new light to two switches.

Hi I'm looking for some help.

My sister is redecorating her hallway. My dad was installing a new light and has removed the old pendant light,however he was not expecting so many wires. I've looked and am unsure too. There are three wires coming into the light, and it has two switches connected to it. Coming into the light there are three wires,all with red and black wires. As well there is a single red wire. Any help will be gratefully apprecitated.

What you mean is, he wasn't expecting so many wires, and has thus disconnected them all and doesn't know where they go? Or did he make a note?

no he didnt make a note. I have found out which one is the supply wire, i guess one is the wire for the switch and that the other is the wire to the next light. I think i have found a wiring diagram here //www.diynot.com/wiki/electrics:lighting:two_way_lighting

I think that will work. However the single red wire is confussing me, i dont know what this is for.

Any ideas
