Can you please help me I have a new life switch that my wife wants me to put on in place of the old one ('cos its silver and she doesn't like the white one!!)

The only problem is is that the old switch has 3 holes at the top and three at the bottom but the new one has 2 at the top and 4 at the bottom. Can anyone please tell me which holes go with which wires.

Many Thanks,

Tony.

very nice of you to popst pictures.

your new switch the two at the top are L1 (where you have the yellow wires (one in each)
the bottom ones are L2 & L3,
Imagine a triangle with the apex (pointy bit) being L1
(L2 & L3 at the bottom)that is your new switch, in your old one one "triangle" is the opposite way round than the other, so that its L1 is at the bottom and L2 & L3 are at the top

Thanks very much for your help. I will wire that up in the morning.

Merry Christmas,

Tony.
