I need to slightly move a built in oven and the layout under the worksurface means it would be very much easier to surface mount the connectors for the oven and hob ignition. This is to be a "temporary" arrangement until the kitchen is replaced next year. Is there anything in the regs that says I have to flush mount the connectors (perhaps because of heat damage?). The Connector is currently a flush mount standard cooker connector with plastic blank with bottom exit over it, and the way it has been chased into the wall looks like it will easily come out to be re-routed about 100mm higher to clear the oven. The oven is a single oven.

There is nothing I have seen in the regs to stop you surface mounting the service point.

Except of course Part P Building regs
