Hi there,

I have just bought a new digital timer to replace my old tick tock timer for the central heating. I bought one with seperate functions for heating water and having the central heating on.

However, When i went to replace it, there is only wiring for the central heating, and none for heating the water.

How can i rectify this problem? Is it possible to get extra wiring installed, or am i just not going to be able to do the two seperately?

Thanks in advance.

it would involve adding a motorised valve

i suggest you get a competent heating guy to do this to make sure your system is up to spec

actually there is a way round it, it involves switching the supply to the pump,, but it depends on:
what system you currently have
are you capable of doing it, ?
why do i worry when you said Is it possible to get extra wiring installed

I would suggest you get several quotes to do it, some jobs are for some people, others for others
