Wiring from nest thermostat to heatlink

I’ve seen on YouTube some people using bell wire or speaker wire to wire inbetween the next thermostat and heat link. Is this efficient enough?
I suppose when you think about it the wiring using the usb option are very thin

Ideally you should use a shielded cable such as CY control cable, to prevent interference
