hello, i was wondering if anyone could help me, i want to wire an outside light and a water feature to a 2 gang 2 way switch. i know that the com is live but not sure where to but the earth and netual wires in the switch. the switch says one way or two way. in trying to wire the switch up i've already blown a fuse so was wondering if someone could help. please.

Which circuit are these items conencted to? The main ring/radial or the lighting circuit.

If it is a light switch it is no good as a supply for what you want as there is no neutral (or should not be!) there. You may have to find the nearest socket on your ring final and wire a fused spur off that. If your supply to the circuit has no RCD then you will have to use a RCD fused spur.

i personally would use two timers, but have a look in for refernce (page 3 )

Please call an electrician - you know absolutely nothing, and what you've said here shows that you haven't given any thought whatsoever to what a switch must do.

The combination of no knowledge, no thinking, and electricity outdoors is a very dangerous one.

Also, there is the law to consider....
