Yep, turn the red screw to adjust either higher or lower.

Thanks does having the grey section higher increase the flush volume. And lower decrease it?

You will have to look it up as it has been a long time since I`ve seen one, thinking there is a mark or line on the body for the water level.
1. The grey item is a float. When it floats up to a certain level it shuts the water off. So if it starts higher, it will take longer to shut the water off and the cistern will have more water in it.
2. Looking at the picture, you would have to turn the red knob clockwise (looking down on it) to raise the resting level of the float.
