The machine starts ok with the water going through but the drum wont spin and after a few minutes the leds keep flashing one by one from left to right.(excluding the door locked led)

I have removed the service panal at the back, the belt is still intact but there seems to be black residue on the motor itself.

Any ideas?

The black residue is carbon dust.
Check the carbon brushes on the motor for excessive wear
