I have a Wolsey WPS100/1 signal booster and the unit seems to be not working i.e. the green light isn't illuminated and I get a message on screen saying ''no signal''. Are these units unreliable or what.? Anything to be done.? I have changed the fuse in the plug.
They are no more or less reliable than any similarly priced PSU.
Unplug from the mains, then disconnect both of the aerial cables. Try the power supply again but with the cables still disconnected. If the PSU lights up then the chances are you have a short in the aerial cable or some similar problem. If it doesn't light up then chances are the PSU is dead.
Electric storms can take out boosters. Had to renew mine. Just one of those things I am not going into loft to unplug it when finished so just take a chance.
